Nearly a quarter century ago, the Autism Society launched a nationwide effort to promote autism awareness, inclusion and self-determination for all, and assure that each person with ASD is provided the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
Today, lives can change. It is Autism Awareness month, and our unexpected but welcome success with special needs families has been humbling.
Through music, children have experienced significant cognitive impacts across the board, including math, language, spatial skills, coordination, social skills, sense of timing, and more, with the benefits lasting for years, even into advanced old age.
In dozens of new studies, more and more benefits to playing music were being proven every day. Our game's simplicity meant these benefits of music could be much more accessible for a much bigger part of the population, even those thought "out of reach", with impacts well beyond what we had ever hoped.
