Piano Wizard Academy was founded at Southern Illinois University and taught by Don and Delanya Beattie. The success of this college course convinced us to incorporate the Academy into piano teaching software. These lessons were designed after years of research as to how to best utilize the game in a classroom or private study setting.

Our process, based on Professor Don Beattie’s proven curriculum, affords the teacher all the tools needed to share this experience with their students. The instructional video lessons reinforce the hands on instruction and can be viewed, and practiced at school and at home. The teacher can even add their own songs to the game. Think of yourself as a coach, guiding the students to play the game they love better.
The Piano Wizard and Piano Wizard Academy products DO NOT replace music teachers. In fact, our product acts as reinforcement and adjunct to traditional music lessons. The DVD and Songbook lessons teach educators to mentor their students in how to move to the next level. Both non-music and music educators are guided in the integration of this program into their music education classes.The Piano Wizard and Music Wizard Method allows the student to learn to read music notation through a combination of variety and repetition, using a creative and fun technique designed to reduce the attrition rate significantly.
